SpaceCamp is a design build practice led by Trevor Jones, Lead Designer, Creative Director & General Contractor. SpaceCamp designs and builds commercial and residential projects on both dense urban, and remote rural sites.

Our design studio is located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz, and our shop is in the redwood forest 9 miles north of town. Our design and build sites are located on the Central Coast of California, throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego, and in Portland, OR where the practice was founded.

Our mission is to provide a uniquely craft-oriented and collaborative service. Project types include restaurants, professional tenant improvements, accessory dwelling units, complete home renovations, new home construction, land use consultation & planning, kitchen and bath renovations and lighting & furniture design and fabrication.

Our ideal customer is curious about how the design build process can be used as a tool to search for meaning and value in the built environment. She is interested in how the services described above can help her reach the goals of her design and/or build project. Sustainable design & construction are priorities. Green-washing is not. We are stewards of the natural and built environment, and understand the climate crisis and the consequences of our behavior as designers and builders.
